Ok, truth be told, Sylvia wasn’t the only WBC attendee at Moon River Grill this morning. In fact, 5 out of the 6 WBC members were in attendance. However, only Sylvia was responsible enough to provide a review. (Well, Jeff wrote something too, but it was only one sentence and the WBC executive board ruled that it wasn’t worth sharing with the public.) You can blame the slackerishness of the rest of the WBC on a variety of things: post-Thanksgiving malaise, colds, school, holiday shopping. Or, good old fashioned laziness. Thanks for representing, Sylvia. Thanks for representing.

Moon River Grill, since you are the new kid on the block, some brunch pointers, if you will:
If fresh seafood is your specialty, please stick to that. Perhaps somehow incorporate it into the brunch menu to make it worth the extra dollars you charge per meal. At least include one unique item to differentiate it from a menu I can get at the Horseman up the street. Salmon omelette? Shrimp frittata? Eggs Benedict with crabcakes?
Not everyone wants cheese in their omelette. If I did not specify cheese when I ordered, please do not add it in for me. An omelette made to order should really follow the order of the patron.
The potatoes were well spiced and perfectly portioned.
I enjoyed the plethora of fresh spinach used in my spinach and pepper omelette.
Perhaps instead of silently offering a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary for brunch, offer a complimentary coffee, tea or juice. This would make the non-drinker feel that the slightly increased prices were justified with the inclusion of a beverage with the meal.
The czar says: The rooftop dining area is intriguing enough where I would consider trying it for a simple seafood dinner or lunch during the summer months. However, I will not be returning for brunch.
