What an amazing day to hang out with friends, so why not spend breakfast with my bestest bud, Shelley. Well, Shelley didn’t want to travel too far, who can blame her, it’s a lazy Sunday. So I met up with Shelley and we ventured out to Hartsdale. A quaint town with much to offer. We decide on the local bagel place, Bagels and More. But I can’t eat bagels, so I got some eggs and sausage, which were a bit greasy, but what can you really expect from a bagel shop. The coffee burned my tongue, which is still bothering me while I write this. I’d say it left a bad taste in my mouth, but alas, I can’t actually taste anything right now.
My other gripe, which probably doesn’t just pertain to this place, is that eggs, which are just heated up on a hot surface, and sausage, same situation, are more expensive than a bagel, which has to be made from various ingredients, boiled, baked, cut, toasted, and smeared upon.
Other then my small gripe, I liked Bagels and More. It’s somewhat inexpensive and in a nice enough town. Also, outdoor seating was nice.

A lazy Sunday is a perfect day for late morning bagels. And I’ve discovered a secret deliciousness at Bagels and More in Hartsdale: that thing is horseradish cream cheese. Turkey on a toasted plain bagel with some horseradish cream cheese is a perfect simple morning meal.
Bagels and More is also well-known for its wide assortment of bagels and cream cheeses. Sure, you’ve got your plains, sesame, and everything bagels. But you could also get a pesto bagel, or how about a sundried tomato bagel. It’s these interesting flavors that keep things interesting and keep patrons coming back.
Pair that with good prices (just $3 and change for my bagel sandwich), and it’s a perfect weekend go-to for breakfast or lunch.
Now, special shout-out goes to nearby Enrico’s (which we reviewed for breakfast last year). I popped into Enrico’s after my bagel sandwich to get a little sweet something to satisfy my little sweet tooth. Enrico’s has recently started offering their own take on several classic pre-packaged afternoon snacks: the Yodel, the Twinkie, and the Whoopie Pie. Not for lightweights, the Whoopie Pies are the size of a small child’s head. This morning I chose one of their Twinkie versions, this one lemon. It was a delicious, perfectly-sized treat. The white chocolate covering on the outside of the concoction was crunchy and flavorful, and the cake and cream filling inside was flavored well with a refreshing lemon flavor. Good job, Enrico’s.
